This semester
our team will produce realistic models of both the Vehicle
Movement System and the IED/Explosion System that were designed
in the Fall of 2006. These two systems have very different
performance specifications, which played a major role in
determining what type of prototype would be constructed for each
system. After researching the prices of all of the components
for both systems, it was determined that the construction of a
full-scale model of both systems would exceed well beyond the
group’s project budget. Therefore, the team decided that it
would be more cost efficient to construct the wind system on a
scale approximately 1/2 the size of the actual system and to
construct the model of the IED system to its actual size.
