AUVSI SUAS Competition: The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) hosts an annual Student Unmanned Aerial Systems (SUAS) competition for teams to design and build an autonomous aerial vehicle. The competition aims to test the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle’s (UAV) ability to fly autonomously and complete several tasks. Flight missions include: autonomous navigation and search, target identification, and remote payload drop. These missions, along with several others, demonstrate a wide range of UAV capabilities. |
FSU-FAMU COE Senior Design: Every year, the graduating
seniors of the FSU/FAMU College of Engineering group together to work
on a Senior Design capstone project. The project intends to
imerse the students in a real-world environment in preperation of their
future careers. The students choose prospective projects, and are
placed in groups of different sizes. Depending on the project,
teams may be formed with students from different disciplines of
engineering. The annual project creates a great oppotunity for
the students to adapt their engineering knowledge for the future.
