Active flow control of high-speed cavity flow

Three-dimensional steady blowing (slotted-jets) is introduced along the leading edge of the cavity. The pressure fluctuations in the controlled flow are reduced significantly.

Active attenuation of a trailing vortex inspired by a parabolized stability analysis

Three-dimensional unsteady body force is introduced along the trailing edge of NACA0012 airfoil. The design of this actuation is based on the insights from parabolized stability analysis. In the controlled flow, the vortex core near wing tip is reduced.
