Luiz Paes was born in Teresopolis, Brazil in 1991. He bagan attending Federal University of Itajuba in 2009. There, he particiated in projects related to Materials Science such as alloys and composites characterization. Now he is studying at Florida State University through FIPSE/CAPSE exchange visitor program. His major interests are Finite Element Analysis for solid mechanics, materials selection and materials characterization.
