Harris Corporation is looking for the development of a carbon nanotube based slot antenna as an innovative method to create antennas that are small, lightweight and powerful (SWAP). This antenna is to be able to resonate at 2.4-2.5 GHz frequency and be comparable to antennas being used today. Prior use of carbon nanotube technology in antenna applications has been exploratory at best. Our design group will investigate carbon nanotube technology and how it can best be utilized to create a fully-functional slot antenna. This antenna is to be used on small-unmanned systems platforms (air, ground, water surface).
