In order to obtain the maximum amount of solar irradiance, the collector needed to be at a certain angle (in the case of Tallahassee: 30 degrees). An 'A' frame was constructed to mount the solar collector onto. The frame was build from pressure-treated 2x4's and steel 'L' brackets.
Each of the components was connected using 3/8" inner diameter, 1/2" outer diameter plastic tubing. The tubing was covered with SeamSeal Pipe insulation to prevent heat loss.
