Specifications
General
- The final design must be compatible to the current system. In order for this, the design must incorporate the current guide vanes and throat design and must fit in the housing
Operation
- Mechanism must be uniformly and smoothly (with no “jams” or “hang-up’s”)
- Angle of the IGV operation must be achieved
- To minimize turbulence, due to vibration in the vanes, backlash must
be
minimized in the control mechanism. Backlash in
the vanes must be held
to the same or less than the current design
Motor
- The programming that operates the motor must remain the same and so must the motor
Manufacturing and Assembly
- All materials used or defined in the final material list must be compatible with refrigerants used and oils
- Design should to current tolerances
- Maintain current assembly time or faster
- Manufacturing cost should be kept the same or lowered
