Kevin "June" Hutchinson [Home Page] + + [A - Team]
Originally from the Island of Trinidad, I came to the states in the 80's. Lived in Brooklyn, NY for a while ,and then relocated to Miami where I grew up and became my home. After seeing my best friend go off to Florida State University, I figure that education was the key that I needed to succeed in life. With that I moved to Tallahassee and started school at Tallahassee Community College with a intent to transfer over to FSU. With a strong background in art I started school as a computer graphic major. Realizing that I could accomplish greater things in life I changed my major to Mechanical Engineering. Since then I have walked down the rocky road less traveled. The experience has made me appreciate my parents when they told me "anything is possible as long as you put your mind to it." I plan on taking the life lessons learned while living in Tallahassee, and knowledge I've absorbed at the College of Engineering to impact the world to the best of my ability.

Creating an Electromechanical actuator for a helicopter for a Senior
design project. The purpose of this project is to create and transmit a force
that cannot affect rotational movement through a thrust bearing, where one half
of the bearing is fixed and the other side is allowed to rotate through the use
of magnetic fields.
Sterling
Engine Project
Tallahassee, FL
Utilized the FAMU/FSU College of Engineering’s machine shop to build
and test the engine. I acquired extensive training with a drill press, Lathe,
C.N.C. machine, vertical mill, band saw, and sander.
