Technical Specifications:
The
following are a few technical specifications that need to be noted when
operating or taking apart the MSP-3 probe.
- The maximum
current allowed to each current lead is 1000 amps.
- The time
limit of current being applied is a pulse of 10 seconds.
- Pressure is
released at the pressure relief valve when the pressure inside the probe
exceeds 1 psi.
- A weight
relief is not needed for this probe.
- The distance
between the helium exhaust holes in the bottom spacer and the temp sensor
is 2.5 inches..
- The gear
ratio between the stepper motor and the sample selection mechanism is 4:1.
- The current
contact IS silver coated to improve electrical conductivity.
- Eight
samples are available to be tested during one run.
- Only one
sample can be measured at a time.
- PRECAUTION:
- DO NOT DROP PROBE.
- REST ON BOTTOM END (SUPPORT) OR ON DESIGNATED MSP-3 STORAGE
RACK WHEN STORING FOR
EXTENDED TIME PERIODS.
- THIS PROBE IS DESIGNED TO BE
USED ONLY BY TRAINED PERSONNEL
- THE PROBE USES AN EXTREMELY LARGE AMOUNT OF CURRENT, THUS
MAY
CAUSE BODILY HARM IF
USED IMPROPERLY
