Exhaust

The goal in modifying the exhaust manifold is to make it easier for the engine to push exhaust gasses out the engine.  If there is any resistance when the exhaust valve opens power is wasted. The idea behind tuning the exhaust manifold is to reduce the amount of back pressure. The exhaust can be designed to take advantage of pressure wave that resonate within the exhaust system.
