In many cases, using treated wastewater to augment fresh water supplies for agricultural, industrial, and municipal use provides a cost-effective and sustainable water resource. The threats to environmental and public health posed by pathogens and anthropogenic organic contaminants that escape conventional wastewater treatment can necessitate additional disinfection and oxidation barriers. Our research focuses on the engineered processes that are important components of this multi-barrier approach.
We are faculty, graduate students (M.S. and Ph.D.), and undergraduate researchers in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering. The College is located at 2525 Pottsdamer St, Tallahassee, FL 32310.
