In this chapter, we derived the governing equations for
velocity and vorticity; and we also discussed the
boundary conditions on solid walls and vorticity conservation laws.
Our next objective is to solve numerically the
governing equations for the vorticity and velocity derived in this
chapter.
Vortex methods are well suited to accomplish this objective
since they offer a number of advantages listed in the introduction;
we will describe the vortex methods in the next chapter.
