This is the Senior Design project for Team 20 in the Mechanical Engineering program at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering. The project's scope is to redesign the classic method of power generation on a bicycle to reduce stress on joints and increase power generation.

HANScycle Benefits

• A new bicycle design

  A new crank design changes the way the bicycle is oriented such that a new frame is required.

• Healthier for joints

  With a lack of "dead zones" at the top and bottom of each power stroke on a classical bicycle crankset, the HANScycle is healther for your joints by not adding abnormal stresses to your knees.

• Increased power generation

  The longer crank arm on the RLT could provide more power generation per stroke and make cycling easier than ever before.
