  Simple force analysis was performed to ensure that the system won't tip or lean to the front. The system is assumed to be in equilibrium at all times except when the platform is rotating about the shaft's axis. The analysis was done by accounting for all the sub-systems individual weight, the moment caused in each sub-system by their own weight as well as the one caused by the torsion spring (red arrows), and also the total normal force acting upwards (yellow arrow.)
