infallible. The
SLA process begins with STL (CAD)files from three dimensional design using
IGES, ProEngineer, SolidWorks, DXF, or DWG files.
These files are inputted directly into a computer that controls the
SLA laser, which ultimately builds the design, layer by layer.
Basically, the files are inputted into a computer which is linked directly
to the laser device. The laser, with computer precision, cures the
resin layer by layer until a perfect prototype is created. Matt sent
the CAD files on a Friday, and by Tuesday of the next week, the prototype
was on Jon's doorstep. |
